John McCain Conceeds

Senator McCain made a great concession speech. Which leads me to believe that he was a pawn in the Republican Party's inevitable foolish loss to the Democrats after 8 long years of ambiguity. Would I have still wanted him to win? No. Palin for VP? Heck no. But I wonder how much of a closer fight it would have been if he had tried his best as seen in this speech, rather than the spectacle and debacle of the Palin VP movement. It is the sign of a true leader to take one for the team and to own the loss. I admire McCain more after this speech than I did throughout the campaign trail. For those who are planning on Palin 2012... please stop. Although she may be more capable than we have seen in this campaign, the fact that she would sell herself out for a failed campaign and a new wardrobe (since repossessed?) says a lot about her character and that is someone who should not be the leader of the free world.
